SELLING ONLINE
If you're planning to sell over the Internet, you must establish yourself as someone who knows what they are doing and can be trusted. Better to stick with a printable form for customers to fax back than suggest people send credit card details using an insecure system. At Axys we regularly set up two types of secure system:

REAL-TIME PROCESSING

|
For higher volume transactions, we use DPS (Direct Payment Solutions) for secure payments verified and credited directly to your bank account. There is a cost per transaction - about 50c depending on volume. We then set up a password-protected administration area on the client's website where they can download the orders in batches.

ENCRYPTED EMAIL

For the smaller system handling fewer transactions, we set up orders on a secure site that arrive via encrypted email. We install a freeware program on your computer (PGP) for you to unencrypt the details which you process by hand. We have set this up for option 4 - a not-for-profit group lobbying to protect the rights for recreational fishers who use this system for online donations. Clients in the publications industry use this system for online subscriptions and a small company who successfully sell fishing kites worldwide, receive orders this way.
